Long time...

HAPPY NEW YEAR ALL!!! Welcome to 2005....

It has been some time since I have written so its time for an update. I spent the last month traveling around India and exploring the vast differences from one state to another and one city to another. Its amazing how much culture and history is embedded in the walls of forts and temples and just everywhere. I finally had a chance to see two of the most beautiful sites- the Golden Temple and the Taj Mahal. Both were absolutely breathtaking in their own way and you just wanted to continue looking at them. I traveled through Rajisthan and experienced life in a desert as well as a goregous sunset in the sand dunes... my mode of transportation was a camel... speaking of which I saw a lot more animals to add to my list. Pictures explain it all.

Now I am back in Mumbai living life and practicing yoga. I have pretty much adjusted to life here and am living the simple life as well taking time to reflect on myself since the past few months were quite intense.

The disaster that happened last week on the Southern coast of India and other parts of Asia was very devastating and although people here in Bombay didn't directly feel the impacts people were emotionally affected. However what is done is done and it was not in anyone's control and now it is more important to direct emotions and energy to relief efforts. There are many sites available which allow you to contribute something however little it is ... it makes a difference. If you would like to help let me know.

Otherwise life is moving along and I am just making the most of each day.

Much love

Ritu
