Guatemala Day 3

Sushi in Antigua, Guatemala .... yup I kid you not ... Sushi restaurants are becoming quite popular here and a couple new ones have popped up. At first the thought of eating Sushi in a third world country seemed like a stomach disaster from hell , but once I walked into this place I was sold. Its nicer than places I have seen in the states. Imaging Blowfish status but bigger and more colorful !!! AND the sushi was fresh ! 17 hours later and my stomach is muy perfecto ( knock on wood).

The days are long, with lots of walking and exploring new streets, shops, and restaurants. I spend much time just sitting and reading my new book ¨ Eat, Love and Pray¨. Its something like a comical self help book ... haha. So far so good. My fellow yogis I am sure you have already picked this one up .

So spanish school starts manana and i´m surprised i was able to even register for all i know i may have signed my life away .... i thought everyone would be speaking to me in english and help me register... i was mistaken, after 20 minutes of SeƱor maestro explaining me about the course and me responding ¨ah , muy bien, oh fantistco , ah gracias¨ he handed me a form with english instructions and I filled it out. We agreed on a time for me to start class tomorrow and a few handshakes later I was officially a La Union student !

I had my first morning yoga practice on the rooftop of my hotel-hostel . It consisted of a few sury namaskar rounds as the sun beat down on me and the wind cooled me off... I left my mat energized and ready to take in the day ! Amazing what a little ounce of yoga can do .

until next time.

hasta luego
