"Our fear places conditions on our experience, but our love must still be unconditional and unconstrained. We must have the courage to embrace the days of our lives with faith and love"
~ Meditations from the Mat
So often we get stuck on events that happen throughout the day and in the past and we hold those feelings and emotions and even impose them on ourselves , our future, and our loved ones. Let go and Live...
Day 3
I would again highly recommend slowing down the pace when cleansing, raw foods do serve as fuel but the fuel burns fast. I am learning this from experience. After my smoothie yesterday I spent the next few hours working and teaching after which it was 2pm and I was famished and craving seaweed or maybe it was just a craving for salt . I went over to a local Milpitas Sushi restaurant Den Sai and asked for seaweed, as I watched the Sushi Chef grab a handful of seaweed and put into my to go box, my mouth salivated , who would have thought seaweed would have such an effect.
Anyhow seaweed salad was a great raw lunch especially when topped with sesame seeds and some soy sauce. I mixed in some other veggies as well.
After a couple of hours of letting my food settle I realized it was that time again , Wheatgrass! I went over to Juice City , drank my shot and chased it with OJ and had myself an OJ/Strawberry/Mango smoothie.
Dinner was again a salad with all the veggis, walnuts, and some olive oil and vinegar .
My water intake has been high, definitely meeting the 2 quart criteria if not more. BUT I'm always thirsty! Yesterday was also very energy draining and again I could not sleep (haven't quite figured this one out yet).
DAY 4
Today started off with the usual : Breakfast smoothie
Lunch was a bit challenging , I had to go to a work bday lunch . Now this where you learn how to incorporate your practices into daily life. Things are always going to come up and there is always a way to accomodate your cleanse . We went to a Mediterranean Restaurant where they had a all you can eat buffet + a salad bar. Lucky for me it was mediterranean salads so a nice change from the usual. I chowed down on spinach and mixed greens and hummus and avocado and was fully satisfied.
4pm I had my wheatgrass shot and a OJ/Strawberry/Mango mixer ( not that great a jamba juice) .
Lucky for me there is a Raw Food Restaurant in Burlingame so I stopped by to pick up some goodies: Pad Thai ( All Raw ) it was yummy but very spicy. To satisfy my Chocolate craving I found some chocolate truffles made from : organic coconut, coconut oil, cocoa powder, agave nectar sweetner, vanila. And it is delish!
Overall I feel good. No real change in weight although I do feel bloated from all of the water. Otherwise things are moving along.
until next time ....
