Mysore day 2

The one thing I love about traveling is all the fascinating people one comes across along the journey. I have always believed that people/events in your life happen for reason but i could not always make out the reason. I finally figured out that the answer comes when you are open minded and open hearted and aware, only then will you see how fate brings things together. In this way doors open and others close, paths are formed moving you from point a to point b and everything happens just as it supposed to. Yesterday after a beautiful chanting practice I waited for a fellow yogi , who i had just met and invited to dinner to join me, in the process i sat outside and itched my many mosquitos I had collected on my feet. As we walked to the restaurant ( known here as Hotels) he shared his adventures with me and what led him from germany to mysore. He also handed me a bottle of lavender oil to soothe my bites. As simple as it is , at that point i was truly thankful and it was exactly what i needed, and he was here to deliver it. The more I talk to people around here and here their stories I continue to see this pattern of fate moving people along ... again and again I come back to this quote " if fate doesn't make you laugh, then you just didn't get the joke" ... sometimes you just have to sit back and laugh because there is a reason to the roller coaster rides of emotions and events whether percieved as good or bad in the end in some way they bring you back to the center.
