Today was the start of my 21 Day cleanse . I awoke and realized I was late to an appt and therefore had to jump out of bed , at which I cringed, so I took a minute to sit and breathe and wah lah the anxiety around being late slowly faded. I started my day .
Breakfast Smoothie ( I love these)
6 oz of Almond Milk
1/2 cup frozen blackberries
1/2 cup mangos
Blend at high for a couple minutes or to desired consistency and enjoy .
By the time lunchtime came around I was starving and wanted to dig into anything. Lucky for me I came home to find some homecooked vegetable stirfry consisting of eggplant, tomato, red bellpepper, green bellpepper and some spices ( thank god indian food is part of the cleanse) I ate this with some wheat indian tortilla better known as roti. Yum!
4pm meal : Mango/strawberry smoothie
I like to eat and lucky for me this cleanse allows you to eat as much and as often as you want as long as you stick to the rules.
I forgot to mention that it is required to drink 2quarts of water = 64 oz = 8 cups each day.
Dinner has not yet arrived but Im thinking a green salad or perhaps a pizza with no cheese !
Dinner Update:
Pizza on wheat flour dough ( pizza dough flour contains milk and eggs) with veggies and no cheese. Not bad .
I must stress the importance of listening to your body and giving yourself rest when doing a cleanse. I experienced this first hand after having an action packed day with 2 classes to teach and an intense Crossfit workout... my body was not happy with it and revealed it through heartburn and nausea. Be compassionate !
