So I survived the first day of my blended week. It was definitely a little challenging and yes I did feel a bit loopy but at the same time the loopiness was fun , I felt light and airy almost could float!
So for my first blended soup at lunch I threw in the following:
- Mixed Greens
- Mango
- Curry Powder
It wasn't bad, the greenness of didnt look too appealing but it did the job.
So why are blended foods good for you ?
-they are easily digestible , giving your body more energy to do the dirty work, DETOX !
-they retain 90% of nutrients which is lost once the foods are cooked beyond 118 degrees and/or are processed
I managed to make it through lunch and then had my 4oz ( yes 4!) of wheatgrass ... just the thought of it makes me feel nauseous .
A great snack while blending is Odwalla juices/smoothies. They are quick and easy and do the job on the go . It was a lifesaver for me today as I hit a low at around 4pm.
I decided this week is for me and fo r conserving energy so as much as I love to workout and do my Crossfit training , Im taking a break to honor my body and my energy level. Today being the fall equinox was a perfect time for this change. My yoga class of sun salutations probably unknowing to the students, helped re energize me.

" Energy Soup " a blend of :
- Kale
-Beet
-Apple
-spinach
-Ginger
add a bit of salt/pepper and lime and enjoy!
Remember to soak in Epsom salt to detoxify and continue cleansing !Today's bath was a bit restless for me though, and the nagging pain in my upper back continues to return ... my friend said its an emotional release waiting to get out ... hurry up already !
