I opened my email today and the subject line read: "Congratulations - You Reached Your Fundraising Goal" WHAT?! Really? Hmm... but who? how? I was about 300 dollars away this morning... so I went to my personal page and there it was, 100% and $5000... I don't quite have the words to say how I feel. It's a humbling feeling and a bit surreal. I am 16 days away from the big event, and every day leading up to it becomes more and more powerful. Maybe it's just me and the energy buzz that is flowing through me. But I want to say its more than that. The messages that are sent to me thanking me for doing this ride and stories that are shared of loved ones who have been affected by HIV/AIDS, have reinforced my drive to do this challenge. Meeting my fundraising goal is just another step in the journey. Just a few weeks ago I was at a mere $1500, I finally sat down and sent out an email sharing what I was doing and asking for support. Overnight I raised over $1000! In that moment I learned, ask and you shall recieve. The support, words of encouragement and donations have been above and beyond what I expected. I am truly blessed to have this exeperience and to see the kindness that exists within my network close and afar!
Thank you Thank you and Thank you! 16 more days... the countdown begins...
